5年前の今日14:46、東日本大地震が発生しました。あらためて震災および震災後に震災に関連して亡くなられた方々のご冥福をお祈り申し上げます。5年を経た現在でもなお2,561人が行方不明、今だ多くの方が避難を余儀なくされています。
震災直後に私たち7e.p.は、国内外43アーティストの御協力を受けベネフィット・コンピレーション『Resume』3タイトルをiTunesにて3ヶ月限定で配信、終了時に日本赤十字社宛に181,305円を寄付させて頂きました。プロジェクト終了後も、震災の（自主的な）終息化、風化防止への自戒も込めて7e.p.のSNS関係の壁紙には『Resume』のアートワーク使用を継続してきました。
震災から3周年を迎えた一昨年より、ささやかではありますが少しでも多くの皆様の震災に対してのリマインダーとして機能してくれることを願って、3月11日より3月末日までの期間限定にて『Resume』より一曲ずつストリーミング＆フリーダウンロード配信を行ってきました。5周年という一つの節目となる今年は、ジョーン・オブ・アーク“To Be Treated Rite”とyumbo“人々の傘”の2曲、さらに一昨年に再使用させて頂いたクワージの“Happy Once Again”、同じく昨年に再使用させて頂いたLAKEの“Landscape Painter”も加えた計4曲となります。シェア、拡散大歓迎です。

ジョーン・オブ・アークによるテリー・リードのカバー“To Be Treated Rite”、震災直後メンバー数名が避難していた仙台の火星の庭と当時関西在住だったドラムの山路智恵子をSkypeにて繋いで演奏された“人々の傘”（映像はこちら）の2曲は歌詞も掲載しております。宜しければ是非目を通して頂ければ。

5 years ago today, our country Japan got horrendous earthquake, resulting tsunami and more worst derivation nuclear plant dysfunction. We would offer our deepest condolences to all victims again.Though it’s been 5 years since we’re facing this heavy truth that still 2,561 are missing and many refugees from their home.
Right after the quake we 7e.p. released 3 months only a 3-volume digital benefit compilation album titled ‘Resume’. It included 43 artists hailing from America, Canada, Australia, the U.K., the Netherlands and even Japan. After the project is done, we donated 181,305JPY to Japanese Red Cross Society. Even though the project is finished, we’re still using that artwork to our SNS wallpapers for not forgetting we’re still on the way of recovering from the quake and it is not finished yet.
Since 2014 we’ve been doing limited stream/free download one song each from “Resume” from March 11th to March 31st with hoping they work as small reminders to many of you and us. This year, at 5 years anniversary from the quake, we offer 2 songs, Joan of Arc’s beautiful Terry Reid cover “To Be Treated Rite” & yumbo “Hitobito no Kasa” which was written when some of the band was staying at a shelter in Sendai and recorded there (the drummer who lived in Akashi, Hyogo joined via Skype. you can see it at here). Also Quasi’s “Happy Once Again” which was re-used in 2014 and LAKE’s “Landscape Painter” which was re-used in 2015. 4 songs total. Sharing is very welcome.

震災翌年の2012年、そして昨2014年と2回の来日を果たしたLAKEとは、来日するたびにツアーの車中で震災以降の日本を巡る状況をはじめ様々なことをじっくりと話し合ってきました。ツアー後には長野の農家にファームステイするなど日本の自然と文化をこよなく愛しているLAKE、快く再使用に応じてくれた彼らに感謝です。そして、LAKEは一昨年の双子のアルバムに続いての待望の新作も完成目前です。こちらについてはまた。

3年前の今日3月11日14:46、東日本大地震が発生しました。あらためて震災および震災後に震災に関連して亡くなられた方々のご冥福をお祈り申し上げます。3年を経た現在でもなお2,633人が行方不明、避難者は26万7000人に及ぶという余りにも重い事実があります。一方で、震災後に民主党政権が決定したエネルギー政策の見直しを始め、国内外の多くの声を無視するかのように現在の自民党安倍政権はある種ショック療法とも言える強引な舵取りを続けています。

先日のクワージ日本ツアー最終公演でまるで日本の現状ピッタリな3つのカバー曲“War Pigs”“(What’s So Funny Bout) Peace Love & Understanding?”“Don’t Stop Me Now”をが演奏されるのを見つめながら思いついたこのアイディアを快諾してくれたクワージの2人にも感謝を。

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to all victims again. Though it’s been 3 years since we’re facing this heavy truth that still 2,633 are missing and 267,000 refugees from their home. On the other hand, the prime minister Abe and LDP government seem to ignore the voices from inside/outside Japan and steer everything very extreme. For example, denied the energy policy which the former government by The Democratic Party decided after the Fukushima incident.

I got this idea while watching Quasi was playing 3 cover songs which might fit perfect for Japan today – “War Pigs”“(What’s So Funny Bout) Peace Love & Understanding?”“Don’t Stop Me Now” on their last show of their Japan tour on March 7th.
